Socks
I have always been interested in learning how to knit socks, but never finished a pair until recently. It took some learning, and realizing I much prefer DPNs to circular needles.
I have really enjoyed making them and definitely plan to make more pairs in the future! I'd love to learn colorwork to create some patterns eventually

Here is my first pair! Knitted top down with DPNs following this tutorial. The creator also has a tutorial for 9" and with the magic loop method, but I much prefer DPNs even though I thought they would be fiddly at first.
These socks were easy to work up, I could do it when walking or on the bus without issue which I very much enjoyed. The yarn color looks quite good, and now I just want to find tons of pretty yarn colors to make all of my pairs of socks!
The picture shows them unblocked. I'll try to block them but I don't have the materials currently. I have learned a lot, especially with the ribbing which is a bit wonky on the first sock, and they're a bit too big, but that's how you learn!
Materials: DROPS Fabel - Ocean blue

This second pair was knitted with the Fishbone gansey socks pattern by Anne Hanson. I adapted it for 4 DPNs instead of 3 since I prefer this method. They're more fitting than the previous ones and I'm proud of the improvement, though I still need to work on the pattern to make it neater.
A friend 3D-printed me a sock blocker so these ones are blocked, and it makes a huge difference!
I was given this yarn and love the color, I find it perfect for that kind of socks. I have enough to make a second pair, and will probably try with another gansey pattern of the same creator
